Day 2: GOOD MOOORRRNNING VIETNAM!

Hotel breakfast then out to explore the War Remnants Museum.

Weather is bright and sunny today!
The entrance ticket per adult costs 40,000VND ($2.40)
It has 3 floors of museums with lots of pictures and artifacts from the war, and an outdoor area displaying tanks, canons, chopper etc. Many of the images are gory, disturbing and not for the faint hearted.

Cabbed to Saigon Square cuz we promised our kids we'll get them some presents from our trip.

Bought some T shirts for them 意思意思一下

Our lunch at Co Thanh restaurant.

吃什么 吃什么?
Everything looks nice.
Don't know what to order...

This fried popiah looks tempting.
Maybe I should go ahead with it.

开饭了!!!

The fried popiah is actually fried yam LOL.
I love it!!! It's like the crispy yam we eat at tze-char.

Let the feasting begin!

Went back to our hotel to drop our shopping bags.
And we are out to enjoy the beautiful HCMC again!
We went to this cafe apartment, which is super Instagram worthy.

It's an old nine storey apartment building transformed into pretty little individual cafes, restaurants and boutiques.
A great place for photos and people watching if you manage to secure the balcony seats!!
Take a pick and start climbing your ass up to that cafe!!!

We went for the highest floor, BOO COFFEE.
I am so out of breath, really.

I ordered their two flavours milk tea (nice!!) and GW had rose tea.

So do you think he is cute?

There are many other interesting cafes here, and we are planning to come back again tmr!!!

Our dinner place for tonight!!!
Ben Thanh Street Food Market.

Yeah, I know it's touristy and more expensive than those food sellers at the road side.

But it's so convenient because they put all the street food vendors here and it's like a one stop station to try everything.

And it looks clean too.
HAHAHHA!! Scared later laosai.

No idea what I've ordered.
Something that tastes like soon kueh and chwee kueh.

Lots of seatings around too.

We're so full after round 1. Lousy leh.
Bought some takeaways to eat at our hotel room instead. We shopped around at the Ben Thanh night market, located further down the street from our dinner place. Ok, it's not as happening as BKK night market plus very hot and humid in there!!

An overpriced drink at our hotel rooftop bar, followed by our late night fatty supper. We had BBQ ostrich meat skewers, BBQ squid, and grilled pork (yums!).
Good night for now!
