#rememberingLKY

Our founding father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew has passed on at the age of 91 on 23 March 2015.

The whole nation is mourning and I am feeling emotional as I watched the re-runs of Mr Lee's past rallies and videos for the last 2 days. I'm not from the tumultuous era (early 60's) but we are very fortunate to have him as our leader, and with his great foresights, brought us to where we are today. He has fought hard all his life to protect and transform us from a third world fishing village to a first world country, all done in 50 years. Without him, Singapore may not even exist on the map. And it is with utmost honour and respect, my husband was given this priceless opportunity to serve as part of the convoy team at our late Mr Lee Kuan Yew's state funeral procession. It definitely meant a lot to him and everyone in the family.

Thank you Mr Lee for your selfless contribution to Singapore, your legacy shall remain forever.

March holiday coming to an end

Saturday.
Spent the first half of the day just staying at home, watch TV and doing chores.
I have two full mountains of laundry to do!!!
In the evening we went for a walk at the Kallang Wave mall and had our dinner there. Here's my kids and as usual, they do not take nice photos with me! The PSI looks jialat.

Went indoor and decided to let Elliot go for his first $10 cut since there is no queue.
Need to get it done before school reopens. Checked.

Had a little supper before we call it a day.

Ah Gong and Ah Ma is back from Japan!!!

Waiting at the arrival hall.
The kids miss their grandparents and had been asking about them for days.
Elliot told us he missed eating ah ma's home cooked food.

Showcasing the expensive fruits they bought from their trip.
The black pumpkin my MIL was holding costs $20.

Giant strawberries that cost $4 each.
Elliot finished his within seconds and asked for a second one.
Cannot ok, must save some for 伯伯 and 伯母。

Leah slowly savouring and appreciating her strawberry in the kitchen.
She was quiet for a good 5 minutes.
And Elliot posing with a $8 apple.
