The traces of Singapore in London.

London is like the perfect place to go when you miss Singapore.

We were there for 3 full days and we did alot of typical Singaporean stuff like eating non-stop, shopping at cheap places (Primark), browsing for titbits in the Asian groceries store, and gaming at the arcade in that Piccadilly shopping centre while waiting for our movie to start.

We took like 118 pictures in London, minus the extra shots and ugly ones...
These are what we have left :)

Parked at Malmo Train Station and trained to Copenhagen airport. It's cheaper this way!

The 200sgd/night room at St Giles.
Expensive for this kinda room standard but what to do, this is London!

Bathroom. Small but clean.

Shopping at Primark without fail!
We just deposited £128 into Primark's bank account on that day.

Queued at TKTS for discounted musical tickets and he finally get to watch his Phantom of the Opera!!!
TKTS is our best friend :)

Lunch at HK cafe because he wanted to drink their bubble tea

Beef brisket maggie mee and charsiew.

A game of virtual striker before our movie starts.
We watched The Predator, it's quite a good show. Recommended.

Then it's time to go for our musical at Her Majesty's Theatre.
I googled and found out this historic theatre was built in 1897 and Phantom was held there since 1986!

Quick picture before going in.
Everything about the musical was fabulous except that guy playing Raoul is kinda fat.My favourite songs from Phantom have to be Angel of Music and of course, Music of the night.

Dinner was at Chinatown and we bumped into a pair of crazy couple wandering on the streets with a luggage.

My roast duck noodle soup.

*DROOL*

Today's our sightseeing day and we had a quick breakfast.
I love sitting in this neat little cafe in Chinatown, they serve very good "po lo bao".

Old school right. (The aunty inside the picture makes it lagi more old school lor)

He ordered their xiancao. Not bad.

And the youtiao is very crispy! And I'm wearing my new £5 floral tunic from Primark.
Hahaha, no clothes to wear liao what.

Walked downwards to the National Gallery.
Checked out the sky, it's gonna rain any moment.

Spotted a lady with Monchhichi's hair.
This hairstyle is IN ok!!!

GW saw this Monchhichi tote when we were in Chinatown and I fell in love with it...
It's on the expensive side (£12) for the lousy quality but I wanted it too much to care about the price.

It drizzled for 2 minutes then the sun came out.
Monchhichi meets Mr Ben. Konichiwa!
(Monchhichi is from Japan ok)

The eye in London, by the Thames River

A tourist helped us with this picture, but I didn't like how the London Eye is growing out from our heads.

And we retook it by ourselves.

Need to cross the road. Ugly hair alert.

On the way to St James park, we saw St Margarets.

Duck roaming freely in the park

And these two ducks decided not to talk to each other until they both cool down.

I love this!
Looks so fairytale to me.

We overslept and missed the changing of the guards (again)
Just make do with this picture lah.

The Buckingham Palace.
Super alot of people, I didn't want to walk any nearer.

Our Buckingham Palace picture.

We didn't wanna spend any £ buying the London map.
Here we are using our own print out Google map.
Yah i know we are very cheapskate but we need to save money ok!

Tubed to London Bridge station and walked to the Tower Bridge for pictures. Basically we are just re-taking all our London pictures cuz our previous camera was kinda sucky lah.

Windy as per usual

The buay song look.

Hopped over to the nearby Borough Market

Borough Market saved our day cuz it has got a toilet!!!
We were hunting for toilets with our bladders full at tube stations, cafes, and even starbucks but to no avail.
That indescribable desperate feeling, I hope I don't have to go through it againl

Jubilee Market

When we walked by the Cheese section in the Green market, we almost died.
I wonder if they are a decade old, if not why so smelly one?

The Middle market.

The Seafood section

Very fresh lobsters cuz they are still alive and kicking, and planning to prison break.

He's a fish lover and wants to take pictures with the fish.

Then GW forced me to take picture with the pig and I don't know why I obliged to that stupid idea.
I am not related to this pig in anyway ok.

Then we saw a stall selling Ostrich meat

And we ordered an Ostrich burger.

It's super good and goes very well with the cranberry sauce. Yums.

Wanted to try one of those fresh oysters but the queue was too long lah.

Xiaolongbao.

The seafood horfun at Rasa Sayang made his day!
IIt has got very rich Singapore flavour in it and for one moment he thought he was home.
The food is sooo good that we went back to eat at Rasa Sayang the next day.

My prawn mee. BEST!

Fried Oyster omelette.

Nasi lemak.

Char kway teow. Aiyah, I just realised I didn't take photo of that tau kwa bao, the homemade sweet chilli sauce that came with it is heavenly.

Aww.. I'm missing those days already :(
