Elliot turns TWO!

Do I still have to tell you peeps the theme of the birthday bash?
Had to DIY most of the party decorations since robot stuff are hard to source in Singapore.
And having a robot theme means we can use basically anything (recycled materials) to build them.

DIY piñata out of a shoebox and crepe paper.

The birthday boy helped to fill up the piñata with candies.

Excited boy couldn't wait for the party to start soon!

The giant robot that my cousins built on the night before at the chalet.
Cool right and just nice to place Elliot's presents beneath :)

Quick shots before the guests arrive and we'll be too busy to take picture with Elliot.

Another one.
And he seems to want to escape already.

With my mummy and sister!

Aunt Julia :)

We ordered buffet from Stamford catering.
Would recommend. Nice setup, punctual and no fuss.
Food is good and value for money too.

GW is not a fan of fondant cakes so we had chocolate fudge cake from Emicakes.
In order to follow the robot theme, we must have a robot on the cake right.
Initially thought can just buy a toy robot off the shelf but we couldn't find any suitable ones and in the end had to make our own. Robot was put together with Elliot's lego, some aluminium foil and foam paper. And TADAH~ We have a ROBOT CAKE!

And it's so much better than that animal cake that Elliot had during his first birthday

Happy birthday to you, my baby.
You are so precious to us.

Gonna cut the cake...

Birthday boy ready for some piñata time.

Elliot is still too young to do the smashing so we did a pull string piñata for him.

And once the sweets fall, nobody cares about the poor piñata anymore...

Family photo time!

All my guy cousins with Elliot.
So fast they all become uncle already...

My female cousins.
Try spotting two grand-aunties in this picture who tried to blend into the same category.

Having fun with the props!

Shuwen and family with Elliot :)

Xavier and Summer with a grumpy birthday boy.

Some of my cousins who specially made their own robot masks for the party.
Special credit to the Goh sisters who did most of the props and decorations.

Happily unwrapping the presents!

I tell you, sooner or later this sunglasses will become two pieces.

9 May 2013: It was a working weekday and the chalet is situated in some really inaccessible area.
So really thank you all for taking time to attend Elliot's party, we totally appreciated it.
Thank you for the nice presents and generous angbaos too. You people made the party so cool.
Apologies if we haven't been a good host.
Last but not least, Elliot loves you :)
XOXO.
