Day 2: Ohhh Bangkok

Good morning!!!
Our second day in Bangkok.

Woke up just in time to have hotel breakfast.

Then to the hotel gym before we head out to Platinum Fashion mall for shopping.

Wanted to eat at the foodcourt in the mall but it's so packed during the lunch hour and we ended up eating at Fuji Japanese Restaurant, which is just around the corner.

Shared a sashimi set, tamago and beef steak.
We need to save some tummy space for the street food later.

A line of street food stalls at the doorsteps of our hotel.

Tabao back!

Just take all my money!!

Walking back to our hotel

The "ancient" hotel lift

My favourite crispy Thai pancake.
And Mango sticky rice without fail.

Cabbed down to Aunt Lydia's, who just settled down in Bangkok for work.

First in the family to be here and worth a selfie!

She took us to explore the long stretch of street food in her area. Less touristy, food is cheaper and I really need that portable electrical fan she brought along.
Sweating buckets already.

I have to say, I have no idea how to cross the roads in Bangkok when there's no traffic lights and overhead bridges to use. Aunt Lydia walked us to the MRT Station and we took a wefie before we bid goodbye. Thanks for showing us around and see you soon!

We trained to Thailand Cultural Centre and stepped right into the mall for aircon and After You cafe because no queue!

Had to order this Lavender Lychee soda because matchy matchy with my dress. Lol!
Shibuya honey toast.

The Train Night Market Ratchada is a stone throw away. Having the cheese mussel and scallops recommended by Calista.

Share a medium set.

GW waiting patiently for aunty to bbq his dried cuttlefish

Wah fried insects, I cannot.

After shopping around, it's time for a drink!

Excited to drink from the Viking Victory horn.

And I was mad thirsty from all the walking.

Just chilling and people watching.
This can be so therapeutic.

Enjoyed my day 2 in Bangkok so much.

Bought some street food back just in case we get hungry in the middle of the night.
It started pouring halfway, we ran to the mall to seek shelter and grabbed a cab back.

Finished everything and bedtime!
