lost in london

Arrived at london stansted airport via easyjet. Returned tickets for both of us was ard 600sgd, flying from copenhagen airport. However don't expect much for budget airline, their flights get delays all the time.

London city is well connected by their underground tube service. The place reminds of the movie narnia II, where the kids got sucked into the wall to the land of narnia. I always re-enact this scene for GW when waiting at the platform. It costs 4pounds for a single way ticket, so my advise is to buy the day travel card which cost 5+pounds, and u can have unlimited usage for bus, undergrd tube and railway services. If u are staying for more a day, buy their oyster card (like our EZ-link card in singapore).

When buying the day travelcard, the guy over the counter told me I'm in the wrong city. I didn't get his joke until 5 seconds later... I WAS WEARING THIS TEE bought in paris. HAHAHA!!!

Some palace or museum, not sure cuz we were lost at this point of time

took a shot with the duno-what-palace-or-museum, i like the london eye behind the building

we are still lost, but i know this is some memorial thingy in front of St james park

he looked funny! I imagined my brother wearing this and guarding the gate

london eye

this clock tower is big ben at the parliament house, GW always like to say big ben and jerry

tower bridge. I have to retake this picture many times because the stupid wind keep messing up my hair.

A tourist helped us with this picture

this is at piccadily circus.. Happening like orchard road, alot of tourists

more piccadily circus picture

on a escalator in one of the piccadily circus mall. They have this super big video game arcade which covered 3 levels of the mall

we went to a japanese restaurant for dinner because GW was craving for sushi. london is a expensive place, just check out their plate prices

I wanted to try this kobe beef because I once saw on BBC food channel, it's one of the top 50 things to eat before u die.

omg, 15sgd for such a small and thin slice!!!

moment to remember... actually too small piece, can't really make out the taste also

We spent like only half a day in london because of flight delays and the contiki pre-departure meeting which started at 7pm. Had a nice walk along the Thames river :) Actually I have more crap pictures in london but too lazy to resize all so pick a few to post here. Anyway the buildings/castle/palace/musuems all looked the same and there are no street names for u to check your position in the map. So we often get lost there. It would be great if we have the opportunity to go London again because we didn't have time to visit the british museums (FOC) or check out the changing of the guards yet.
