Going a little slow today

Took them out for a pasta lunch before tuition class. Had a little time to spare and they chose to spend it at the library.

A fun-filled day for the kids

We took a bus to J8 to catch the early afternoon show, Ralph breaks the Internet. I love it so much, it's so relevant and fun to watch! No wonder it's rated 4/5 popcorns.

We were also eligible to redeem a pass (min. $50 spending) to participate in the activities at the event atrium.

We each took a turn at the claw machine and caught nothing.  Haha! We really CMI.
Elliot loves the VR ride and asked me to spend another $50 so that he could go for another round
I almost fainted.

Had topless 5 at Swensens.
They chose the flavours and I was pleasantly surprised at their beautiful pastel shades.

After satisfying our sweet tooth, we have an important mission to accomplish; we need to get home before the crazy rush hour!

Went for our first ukelele lesson together today.

It's a starry starry night!

Landed in the galaxy for some star gazing.

If I could reach for the stars, I'd pick one for you.

In an instant: Polaroid

Polaroid Exhibition at NMS

The story behind the birth of the world's first instant camera.

Especially impressed by "The Fish bowl Experiment".

This short film can only be viewed behind a polariser, else it's just a blank white screen.

Enjoying the video with the polarised lens provided.

What sorcery is this?

The final room of the exhibition features videos of local influencers, and their take on instant photography.

The kids kept themselves occupied in the room

My monkeys at the National Museum of Singapore

It's the school holidays and we are due for a museum visit. Brought them to our country's oldest existing museum, the National Museum of Singapore.

It's easily accessible by train and free admission for Singaporeans.

We reached at 12pm and it started to pour.
I love the facade of the building...

...especially how the dome looks like from the inside.

Leah was fascinated with the spiral staircase which leads to the roof.

My personal favourite: Gallery 10.
It's an experimental space where traditionally binary ideas of art and science meet.

It's dark inside Gallery 10.
I love it the moment I set my foot in it.
The wall art mural painted in familiar parts of our neighbourhood has come to life. Lots of colourful bean sacks for your lounging pleasure. I could stay in there forever

I took some boomerangs of the animations at Gallery 10. Definitely nostalgia for those who lived the 1960s Singapore.

Helping to inscribe the Hawker Culture onto the UNESCO list. To meet this target, we need to submit these nomination dossier to UNESCO by March 2019!

Hawker food has been a familiar and unique part of Singapore and we need to nominate it as our multi cultural identity on the international stage. My Mr Chicken Rice boy had done his part.

Let's support Singapore Hawker Culture, and give appreciation to our hawkers and their fare.

Glass Rotunda: Story of the Forest
The children were blown away by this larger than life, interactive digital art installation.

Having our break at Food For Thought.
She chose the Creamy mushroom pasta from the kids menu.

Fish and chips for this boy.

Nice ambience to just have a cuppa and chill

When food coma kicks in

Spent a good 4 hours in there, but still didn't manage to see everything. We need to come back for another wondrous adventure soon!
