HCMC Day 4

It's New Year's eve today!
Intended to have brunch at a popular cafe [researched online] but was stunned to find the place has closed down when we got there.

Hence we walked to the Ben Thanh Street Food Market located right next to it to have our meal. Very expensive touristy place

Itinerary of the day was to visit the Fine Arts Museum of HCMC.

I cannot resist stain glass windows and mosaic floor tiles.

The Fine Arts Museum is housed in a beautiful building designed by a French architect, built for a wealthy family in Vietnam in the 1920's.

Done with our visit.
Waiting for our Grabcar to take us to the mall for dinner.

Ate at their Siam Express because it's so much cheaper compared to SG. Anyhow hoot their menu already ok.

Happy 2020, everyone :)
We are flying home today, and there's nothing like a good meal to start the new year!
We ate French cuisine at Cocotte Restaurant, which was walking distance after we checked out of our hotel.

We had escargots, rosbif, duck confit, a glass of red wine, and a cocktail. Food was of high quality, good portion and very affordable.
All these for under SGD35!
Bye HCMC, it's our third time here and will surely be back again cos' we just couldn't get enough of you!

HCMC Day 3

Was so tired the previous day, we slept till it was time to check out from Caravelle Saigon.
Then we cabbed to our second (cheaper) hotel, Muong Thanh Saigon for the next 2 nights.

Very basic room but for the price, cannot ask for much lah. Already enjoyed our first two nights liao. Nua for a while and it was time to get out to find lunch.

Wandered around and ate at this Japanese restaurant, Kai Izakaya at M Plaza.

Ordered their set lunch.

Then we cabbed to Kinokuniya to shop for books, and went cafe hopping at The Cafe Apartment.

Iced orange honey cinnamon tea

Walked 1.2km to Roseice for expensive Artisan Gelato.

So pretty!
