Frolicking in happiness

Just wanna take a moment to say, I now fully understand why mothers always say they do not need expensive presents from their children.

During the previous primary school visit, Elliot was handed $2 to buy food from the canteen, and he got me a 40 cents bookmark from a fundraising campaign in school. He could have chosen a small toy or a sweet smelling eraser for himself but instead he picked a gift for me and this thought alone is already making me tear uncontrollably. He said he wanted to get something for mommy and there are hearts on this bookmark. This sweet little boy of mine, thank you for loving me because I will never stop loving you.

Yesterday my MIL was telling me, GW bought her a stalk of her favourite flower (tulip) when he took home his first pay check from his first part time job. It wasn't an expensive gift but it's a gift that she's gonna remember for life.

Let us not forget the mother who's awake all night to care for you when you're running a high fever, the mother who race to the market to get fresh pig brain when you are prepping for a big exam, the mother who wakes up to make you breakfast when she could be sleeping, the mother who worries for you when you weren't home at past midnight, the mother who loves you even when you neglect or hurt her, the mother who scolds you for wasting money buying her gifts, the mother who is smiling secretly behind door with the gift, and the mother who is there for you when no one else will.

No one said it was easy. We may not provide you the best of everything but we gave you everything we had.

因为在妈妈的眼里 你永远是她最宝贝的孩子
预祝全天下的妈妈 母亲节快乐 要幸福哦!
