DIY Bowling game

Elliot and I were tasked to build a bowling game using recycled materials for his school's 3R's project - reduce, reuse, recycle.
There will be a party at school on Monday and we were allocated a booth to set up our game for everyone!

We brainstormed for the materials we could use as bowling pins. Elliot suggested using tins (canned pineapples) but we do not have any at home and I certainly do not wish to purchase them and empty the contents just to have the tins!
We settled with using Elliot's packet milk and started collecting them daily.

Adding weight to make sturdy bowling pins! We bought barley (because it's cheaper than red beans by 50 cents) from Giant out of desperation as there isn't any sand playground nearby and our attempt to find small rocks in the neighbourhood failed miserably.

Sealing them up with tape

Decorating our bowling pins.
Elliot wanted a scary theme like zombies and monsters. I did the wrapping and Elliot helped cut and paste most of them.
Proud of our work!
