Day 7: We are eating machine!

Our last full day in Saigon and the plan was to devour as much Vietnamese food as we can.
Our first meal was at Den Long restaurant, famous for serving home cooked Vietnamese cuisine. Was surprised that the staff speaks very fluent English, and sound just like native speakers.

This soft shell crab is da bomb!

Ready to fill our tummies!

My obsession with lanterns is real.

Den long restaurant was decorated with many colourful 灯笼

5 stars service and food!
You guys ought to drop by for a meal if you're nearby. No RAGRATS loading calories here.

Straight after Den Long, we cabbed to Pho2000 and continued our foodie trail!
Very hardcore, I know. Please do not attempt, 叔叔是有练过的哦.

This pho restaurant was made famous after Bill Clinton ate here. [Not sure if you could spot him in the photo frame behind my head]

We couldn't locate the place at first, we only saw Coffee Bean when the GPS indicated we were already at Pho2000. Turn out we need walk into Coffee bean and use the stairs to get to the 2nd level.

My big bowl of pho!
Our tummies almost explode sia.
We walked to Ben Thanh market to explore abit. It's a big market with many narrow aisles and rows of shops selling all sorts of stuff and fake branded. Some vendors suddenly grabbed my arm when I walked pass them, and tried to shove me into their shops! Had to quickly leave as I was so terrified by their aggressiveness!

Walked to Saigon Centre to have afternoon tea.
We chose this beautiful cafe that looks like a bird cage, RuNam Boutique at level 1.

Ordered a pot of Lotus Tea.

Love the golden drip coffee filter!

Mini matcha eclaire
Cabbed back to hotel for a shower.
We planned to visit a rooftop bar on our last day in Saigon.

After much googling, we chose to chill at the rooftop bar at Grand Hotel Saigon.

The Saigon river

When dusk falls

The sky turned to a light, dusky purple

Just chilling and planning what to do later

Thank you for being crazy with me, agreeing to go anywhere my itinerary takes us ;) and taking tons of beautiful photos of me!

At Highlands Coffee with my drink
With tummies filled to brim and no plans to have dinner anytime soon, we bought Gold Class tickets to Captain Marvel!

This sums up our 7 days in Saigon, personally I love this city so much. The people here are friendly, IMO it's safe, food is insanely good and cheap, loads of nice coffee shops and grab car is easily available ;) Just need to gather enough courage to take your first step out to cross their crazy roads.

Gonna catch the early flight home tomorrow, missing my children so badly. So thankful to have in-laws taking such good care of them. Tam biet!
