Day 5: Sunrise tour at Mui Ne

Booked a 4hr private sunrise jeep tour from our hotel, to take us to the top 4 attractions in Muine. We visited the White sand dunes, Red sand dunes, Fishing village and Fairy stream. They charged us 600K vnd (around sgd36) for the private tour, however it's only 5usd if you go with the group tour.

We set off at 4.30am to our first stop, the White sand dunes to catch the most amazing sun rise. It was a 45min ride and we quickly find a nice spot and waited for the sun to appear.

Set up the tripod for pictures

Loving the beautiful hues of the sky

I would recommend to wear slippers to the dunes because it's easier to dust the sand away.

Love this picture of us ;)

Splurged on an ATV to take us around the sand dunes.

It was good fun riding the dunes like a rollercoaster. Almost had a heart attack cuz the slope was so steep like almost vertical can!

The view of the Lotus Lake

The sand is so fine!
Couldn't bear to leave, it's like the highlight of our trip so far.

Next up, 30min jeep ride to the Red Sand dunes. No ATV here, had to climb up the slopes ourselves. IMO, the sand here is much softer, which makes it so tedious walking around because your feet will kinda sink into the sand with every step.

There were children trying to sell you plastic boards for sledding down the dunes. Didn't go for it because it was getting hotter every minute. Just took a few pictures here acting like some American next top model [alamak, look more like telly tubbies instead!] before leaving for our next destination.

Hopped on the jeep to the Fishing village

Cannot get a chio photo in the jeep, no matter how hard I try.

The Fishing village is so picturesque.
The beach is full of local fishermen unloading their catch from their boats.

Their fishing boats are not some sampans but are shaped like giant plastic bowls.

Tried to take a closer photo of the boat

The daily routine of sorting seafood

Lots of shells on the beach

Plenty of big ones like this

There were tentages where you could enjoy some fresh seafood and people watch.

It's nice just walking around, observing the local life and spotting interesting sea animals in basins.

Our last stop was at the Fairy stream.
Entrance fee of 15,000 vnd (around sgd 1)

The Fairy stream is known for being a miniature version of Grand Canyon.
It is a small river whereby you can physically walk along, and the water level goes up to knee high as you walk further.

Hello Moo!

Many nice photo spots here

The landscape along the river bank is absolutely surreal.

We didn't wander very far because very hot sia we were quite tired and wanted to go back earlier for a rest before we catch the sleeper bus ride back to Saigon. Bye!
