our first dslr came today

After much complaints with our lousy Olympus digital camera, GW decided to invest on a DSLR so we can have better pictures in the future. We are not planning to go PRO. We just want a camera which is affordable and not too complicated to use.


He bought a Canon Eos Rebel XT 350D from ebay.

Seems like there are alot more things to buy now because of this camera.
Like camera bag, CF card, lens filter etc. Bye bye $$$$

sidedish for dinner: Spinach-stuffed mushroom

Craving for spinach-stuffed mushrooms and I made some earlier for dinner. Well, I think priyah's mushrooms tasted better. My mushrooms were kinda soggy.

Did some reflection and came to a conclusion. My mushrooms spent one whole night in the fridge. So it must be I didn't take time to thaw them before I dumped them (the frozen mushrooms) into the oven to bake. Seriously... no shortcut next time.

pink overdose

Sunday. I'm in the mood to experiment a pink look and it turn out not exactly bad. Forced GW to bring us (me and rabbit) out to take tons of photos and after that groceries shopping at Citygross.


I received a few stares in the supermarket. I wonder if they are checking me out because I'm chio or because I look like an alien.

So here's my pink look complete with pink bow headband, pink eye makeup, pink blush and lipgloss. It's my first time using pressed powder and concealer as part of my makeup. Though the concealer cannot hide my freckles totally, I'm somehow quite pleased it managed to lighten them alittle. And the fake lashes and brown contact lenses make me look like a door doll!

Woohh.. raining raining all day long

Today's weather is a cold and chilly one, and the consecutive showers and dark clouds made it worse. Itinerary for the day is to go check out Kristianstad, another town around 1 hour driving distance away.


GW did some research on the attractions the night before. We are not arty farty people, so we chose to skip all the art museums and head straight to film museum which somehow seems more interesting and the best thing is... IT'S FREE!

Stop to top up petrol and GW got me my favourite Mango Ramlosa.
It's a new flavour and the best so far. (and hey it rhymes!!)

Fixed our hunger pangs at a Japanese restaurant.

We ordered a mix sushi set to share.


His seafood noodle is very salty.

My teriyaki salmon was super awesome and I licked the plate clean.

Heh heh! We are the entrance of the film museum and guess what?
IT'S CLOSED ON WEEKENDS! BAAAAAHHHHH!!!

So we had to make do with just gai gai around the centrum. And I found a Minni mouse ears headband!!! It's so cute and I had to buy it :)

This is on the way home, and he's imitating Aaron Kwok's singing with poor chinese pronounciation and everything. He's really good at it so I asked him how he managed to do that. Ohhh you have to sing and then pretend you have a piping hot siewmai in your mouth at the same time. His answer totally stunned me.

Too much light exposure for this shot, so I tweeted the lighting alittle. Yes, I know the colours still look weird but my editing skill is limited so don't hiam ok. Hopefully my SLR will arrive this week then can go around taking photos like crazy.

Silly boy

I found a 2-steps BBQ pork ribs recipe online and went to try it out.

First, you boil the ribs in pineapple juice for 45minutes until tender.

Then you glazed them with your favourite BBQ sauce and oven 10min for each side.

The dish looks plain without any garnishing but no worries, Mr Madagascar Penguin is here to help :)
