10 May 2014: My sister's big day.

Waiting for the groom to come fetch the bride.
That's my sister in her lovely wedding gown and my mummy looking eager to marry her off.
Then my brother and I got bored and we started taking pictures with the bird cage.

Went over to the groom's place to help my sister change into her tea dress.
Love her sexy bare back red lacy cheongsam!

At Orchard Hotel.

Candy bar. Everything DIY.

The cousins really did a good job with the candy table. I'm impressed!
My sister wanted something like a garden theme and she spent a bomb getting all the decorations and the little knick knacks for the table.

And the creative guestbook done by Cass!

At the reception area, waiting for the solemnisation to start.
Say hi to Elliot the orangutan.

Elliot and Jiayu marching in and throwing flower petals.

And my sister officially became MRS TAN.

Leah's constipated face.

One last photo with my in laws before we left.
The kids were getting cranky as it's way past their bedtime.

Congratulations to you, my dear sister.
After so many months of starving and stressful preparations, I'm so happy that the two of you had finally made your way to each other. Let this day be just the beginning of your happiness and may you both treasure this special commitment.

Oh and please don't forget, Elliot and Leah need cousins!
 MUAHHAHAHAHA!!

螃蟹之家 @ Punggol

Mummy's birthday dinner at House of Seafood.
Our first time eating at their punggol branch, the place is fully packed due to mother's day and we had to queue to go in though we made reservations.

Tiramisu cake.
Mummy warned us not to sing the birthday song.
She prefers low profile, just blow candle and cut cake will do. Totally look like Elliot's birthday, he was holding the cake knife the whole time.

Happy mother's day to you, dear mummy!

Elliot's 3rd birthday celebration (School)

Preparation for Elliot's birthday party in school.
Packed goody bags for his classmates and printed a simple thank you note. And then the most daunting task ever - having a minion cake to go with the theme. Initially I wanted to bake cupcakes with fondant, but was having cold feet at the eleventh hour. My baking really BUAY SAI so might as well not waste the ingredients that goes into the cake. I came across an easy homemade marshmallow fondant recipe (the ready made fondant at phoon huat so ex leh) and I kneaded it into minion figures the night before to use as cake toppers. Yes, I know they look like pirated minions.
Mai hiam lah, got effort leh.

Took a cab to his school with Leah after sending him off to his school bus. Reached there earlier than him and we quickly set up everything to surprise him. He gets to dress in his party clothes. Happy kid.

Birthday song during assembly with schoolmates from all levels.

Birthday song again in his classroom with his classmates. He cried when I was about to leave but eventually wiped his tears and waved goodbye.
Happy birthday Elliot, I hope you had fun in school today.

Late evening stroll

Elliot was pestering his papa to bring him out and dig some sand.
We "threw" the kids and all the sand digging stuff into the stroller and briefly made our way to the sand pit @ punggol waterway.

Meimei stepped on sand while the boys dug hard till the sun went down.

Easter Sunday

The junior Sunday school kids singing on stage.
See if you can spot Elliot :)

Cheeky boy smile smile smile and didn't sing with the rest.

Happy Easter!
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!
