the potluck sessions just keep coming

Hello! We had a potluck dinner today and the spread was tze char! Happening five star standard ok. I totally dig the food as tze char is a huge part of my life back in Singapore.

We cast lots to decide who to cook what item for our next potluck. And I got sambal sotong.

Poor Ivy, she got to prepare 2 food items due to the brilliant idea she came up with.

Late night project. I'm just there to eat.

This is Shuwen's 10min, fast and easy swissroll. I kinda miss eating kaya so I requested her to spread kaya on it. I got greedy and helped myself to more kaya on my swissroll. Heh heh.

Next up is her virgin attempt to make yam ring (just the ring only since it's for testing purposes). I remember eating yam ring at wedding banquets, and they will have scallops, prawns, mushrooms, snow peas etc inside the ring. Then 10 people at the table have to share 1 pathetic yam ring and gets to taste only a small piece. So not shiok right... I want to eat more!

Crispy and has a strong yam fragrance when you sink your teeth into it. I hope shuwen will make the full version of this yam ring soon. Errrr.. Can I request for OR NI as well?

感恩的心

Xiaohua's been peeing and pooing everywhere in the house and the pee stench is killing me, and I have no choice but to do this long procrasinated major house cleaning today. The last one was done when cedric came to stay, which was almost a month ago... so now you know how disgusting I am :P

Yup, so when i was cleaning the toilet bowl, I suddenly wanted to give thanks to God for keeping me in His good hands all these while. And when I moved on to scrub the sink, I thanked God for blessing me with a loving husband. He gave me someone who serves relentlessly, someone whom I could rely on, someone who encourages and accepts me for who I am. And when I proceeded to polish the mirror, I thanked God for surrounding me with positive people and good friends to warm my gloomy days.

This went on and on until I finished cleaning up my whole house. But guess what... I'm still not done with counting all the blessings He's given me! There's just plenty of wonderful things to thank God for!

Saturday: I'm the first customer to step into the Malmo Bus!

Yup, so i did my groceries today at the Malmo bus and then to centrum to celebrate KS's birthday over lunch. And she wore a sexy bareback electric blue top today! The girls had a long chat during lunch at PM Mat Restaurant before we all storm into H&M for some shopping.

Anyway I brought 小灿 out today. I didn't want her to suffer from any scratches so I carefully wrapped her with my jacket before I put her in my bag. Oh if you are wondering who's 小灿, she's our Canon DSLR :)

Hey! I'm back from another satisfying potluck dinner held at Celine's place earlier. We did thai cuisine this time. And to spice things up, we came up with a insane idea to dress up like an ah gua to go along with the theme.

I thought i will win the ah gua competition since i went with heavy eye makeup and also wore a tshirt from MahBoonKrong. But when I saw Ivy's hair, her makeup and dressing... My jaws dropped open. She has this ah gua aura (she said tata young) going on and truly deserves to win.

The kids get to eat first and the adults were just standing around drooling and hastening the kids to finish their food quickly.
