5th Day in SG: 9 July 2009

Finally, we have a day all by ourselves :) and we wanted to visit Sentosa (So-Expensive-Nothing-TO-See-Also). We forced ourselves to wake up early for breakfast.

GW was craving for the black carrot cake at Bedok North, the place where he spent his childhood life. If you are interested to know, this is the store he's talking about and it costs only $2 per plate.

enjoying the carrot cake that he's been raving mad about. Ho chiak!

Sentosa Skyride

I was taking this picture and trembling at the same time. I'm afraid of heights!

It was a hot day and we didn't really want to walk much. We rather wait for the beach tram just to get to the next stop.

Peacocks feasting on left overs. The one on the table is slurping noodles

Weather was too hot, we hopped on the sentosa bus just for the aircon.

While waiting for bus to depart from the interchange

Reflection from the mirror

Doing the Luge. The price has increased!!!

I remember it used to be carlsberg sky tower... Since when it becomes tigerbeer ar?

checking out the attractions @ imbiah lookout

merlion

wah chio! Must remember my this angle by heart. Anyway, we couldn't stand the heat anymore we left Sentosa and went for KFC lunch @ Kallang Airport.

I can eat KFC everyday!

I couldn't decide between Bandito and Crispy chicken so I ordered both. Cannot afford to regret when I return to Sweden ok. I need to shout this out now: WHY SWEDEN DON'T HAVE KFC???

K-Box at Kallang Leisure Park

Better sing while we can. Because SWEDEN DON'T HAVE.

This is my must-sing-KTV-song (戴爱玲's "对的人")
And yes you are right that i sing with alot of kua zhang hand movements.

He cut his hair and looks even younger now. Say 23 years old?
ARGH!!! I must destroy his hair after we return to Karlskrona.

My 4th Day in SG: 8 July 2009

Met up with Baoli for lunch and she gave me a generous treat at Tampines One - Manpuku Japanese Gourmet Town. She applied leave to come and meet me because I'm only free in the day *touched* We seem to have lots of things to talk and talk forever.

my beautiful baoli

Rested our feet at Bakerzin after some very serious shopping action. It's my first time there (always walk pass Bakerzin but never try) and I must say they serve very very good desserts.

Cheesecake ice cream. Addictive.

Posing with my dessert.

For dinner, it's cousins steamboat gathering at Ah Siang gugu's house :) I love all my crazy cousins!!! I wished we have more time together.

Me and Ah-bird doing some stupid stunt. Hey Elizabeth, enjoy your break in singapore before flying back to melbourne!!!!

Me and Cass (aka the wushu master BRUISE LEE) striking a chio pose

I'm too used to handle rabbits until I forgot how to carry a dog properly. Poor Winny, she looks uncomfortable in this picture.

My brother has a mild case of mental retardation.

the senior citizens. *oopps*

thanks ah siang gugu for her $$$ and efforts preparing the sumptous steamboat

08 July 2009

3rd day in SG already

Hello this is a boring entry, please don't read.

I just want to keep a copy of the food i stuffed into my stomach throughout my short SG stay. i think i totally let loose myself way overboard and eat like I'm in some competition.

Well, weather has been good so far (for us). It rained everyday when we were snoring away and stopped whenever we wanna go out. We can only fall asleep at ard 6am singapore time. So i guess we are still jet-lagging???

Day1: Immediately after the KLM touch down @ Singapore, we headed straight to Kallang Airport for dinner.
  • Char Kway Teow
  • Or Lua
  • Satay
  • Otah
  • Dumpling Soup
  • BBQ Stingray
  • Sugarcane drink
  • Supper: Wu Xiang from kopitiam downstairs

Day2: Slept all the way until 2pm. HAHA!!! No time to lose, we must quickly go check out the new Tampines One shopping centre.
  • Lunch @ Sushi Tei (SHIOK!)
  • Snacked on old chang kee's fried squid head (price increase to $1.50 liao!) and a white chocolate waffle. Gw bought a cheng teng from the bubble tea shop.
  • Dinner at Bishan Crystal Jade. We had shark fin soup, peking duck, roasted pork and dessert. I wanted to order suckling pig *drools* but they didn't have any on Mondays. SIAN!

  • After visiting gong gong and ma ma, we went midnight shopping @Mustafa. I was kinda looking forward to hear the indian guy greeting us "good morning... thank you come again" at the entrance. But it's just not our day lah, the guy didn't even look at us. SOBS.

  • Supper was Jalan Kayu rotiprata & kambing soup at 4am

Day3: I cut my hair today! I think aunty mary snipped off alot of my hair. It costs only $6.90 because she's a friend of my mum.
  • Initial plan was to go dim sum buffet @ teahouse China Square with my new hair. Called to make a booking and realised it had closed down. DIAO! Settled my dim sum cravings at Toa Payoh's Yum cha restaurant instead and I never regretted it. BEST!
  • Shopped at Parkway, I bought some clothes from topshop and mango, and a pair of heels from charles n keith 50% off ok!!! I heart GSS!
  • Was too full from the dim sum meal so couldn't really fill anymore dinner to our stomachs, but remember our motto: NO TIME TO LOSE? We went for something light. Shared Marche's mushroom soup and a chocolate mango fruit crepe @ Vivocity before catching a late night movie. It was "Drag me to hell", super scary movie almost had heart attack.
  • Became super alert after the heart attack and decided to go for supper. Craving for KFC actually but it was past midnight so every outlet was closed. We ended up eating alot at Clarke Quay Coffee Club. Shared Fried calamari, slipper lobster lingunie and muddy mud pie. I think i overstuffed myself that i almost puked.

04 July 2009

I'm trying hard to contain my excitement and prevent it from overflowing.

I've inserted a counter on my blog like some 279 days ago to count down the days to my jumbo seafood. And now, the time has finally come. ONE MORE DAY and i'll be stoning in the airplane all the way back to xin jia po and breathe the hot air.

SOBS. I'm flying KLM and not SQ. But nevertheless I'm still happy to be home!

And we will have to put xiaohua at the pet store before we go. I will bring you a present from Singapore ok, please behave when you are at Ulrika's place. I WILL MISS YOU LIKE CRAZY.

I felt the urge to plan my itinerary carefully since our holiday is barely 10 days. Due to time constraint, I couldn't possibly meet all of my dear friends (though i would really wish to) I want to spend as much time as possible with my family. This doesn't mean you guys are any lesser ok, i've never forgotten all the fun times we had together and still love you all the same. Hope you guys can read me :)

Can't sleep for sure.

I'm so excited, my heart is beating so fast. I feel like singing the national anthem now.

03 July 2009

my favourite photo of the day - taken by sherin

01 July 2009

so hot until i cannot sleep

Woke up with a sms from Sherin. She needed to get some makeup stuff so we headed down to town by foot. And the sun is really horrible and it's like baking me alive. It's 28 degrees ok! We walked along the lake with Baby Alonza sleeping peacefully in her mercedez pram all the way. When we strolled pass H&M, Sherin just have to take a picture with this big red flashy NOW EVEN MORE ON SALE at the window.

The word SALE write until so big, how can we not check it out right??!?!?!

After sherin got her makeup stuff, we spent time at 3G cafe, enjoying cakes and drinks until one of the husbands is available to fetch us home. I went over to Kersin's house for a while because I wanted to see her bathe Baby Alonza.

This picture was taken when Kersin was preparing the bath for baby. Little strawberries were added to safeguard the interests of Baby Alonza, who may be reading this post 20 years down the road. So cute and chubby right! Kersin said Alonza's arms look like the lian ou (lotus root).

p/s: Hello Alonza, is your mummy say one not me hor! Wahahahhaha!!!
