We went to several supermarkets to shop for sushi ingredients and realise the japanese stuff like wasabi, sushi rice, rice vinegar are under the same brand - The BLUE DRAGON. Dunno this dragon is come from where one, very expensive leh. Seaweed was bought from the Malmo bus :)

Yes, this newly bought SGD1000 bike is gw's new wife. He provides TLC to his new wife everyday, buy accessory for her and polish her clean clean after he uses it. Never see him so hardworking when I ask him to mop the floor...

karlskrona ice-cream

There is this ice cream shop in karlskrona town that only operate during summer. Quite true also lah, I wonder who will want to eat ice cream during the cold winter.

Really got so nice to eat meh, the queue long until like that

We joined the queue, and finally managed to step into the shop to have a look. And as expected, ALL THE FLAVOURS LISTED ON THE BOARD ARE IN SWEDISH!!!

Don't understand swedish right... nvm, can see the flavours in the fridge. We ordered 2 scoops each, and total bill add up to 60kr (to convert to sgd, u divide by 4).

Wah lau eh, so expensive... The JJ cornetto ice cream in singapore selling $2.50 only.

What you expect... got part time girl making fresh ice cream cone on the spot one leh.

GW is having "After Eight" and "Chocolate", Me ordered "Rum & Raisin" and "Banana Chocolate". U see the ice cream is humongous!!! So worth the 60kr :)

Dunno why... Suddenly i wanted to blog about my mother, maybe because mother's day was few days ago that's why.


She called me on Mother's day to inform me it's Mother's day and the day after is her birthday and the day after the next is her chinese lunar calendar birthday. And she was complaining to me that Sharon and Russell (my dearest siblings) refused to buy chicken wings for her even though it's Mother's day and she was so craving for it. Damn funny.


She is such a cool mother to have.

I wanted to take ballet lessons when I was younger, and she asked me if I've ever seen an elephant doing ballet before.


Like every chinese year, she will force us to wish her YONG YUAN QING CHUN MEI LI (stay youthful & pretty always) to get her hongbao.


She hogs on the soccer channel everynight and when we protest she retaliated by saying she is the one who paid for the cable TV. So shut up and go to sleep!!!!


When me and russell go for supper at our favourite 24hr Macdonalds downstairs, as fillial children we asked her if she wanted anything. She will say no, wo zai jian fei (I'm on diet). And when we came back, she will ask us to buy her a Mac Chicken.


She was the one who introduced me to ice-skating, canoeing, rollerblading and brought me to KTV sessions when I was in Primary 4.


I fractured my arm when I was 14 years old, got admitted to TTSH. It was exam period and I sneaked out to do some ice skating with my friends. I thought she will scold me when she sees me in this state but she didn't. It was then she bought her first mobile phone which was that time ah beng's favourite ericsson model, so that my father could contact her when she's in the hospital.


Before I left for sweden, I asked her if she will miss me when I'm not around. Her reply was: If u miss me, mail me a airticket lah.


On the day she came to send me off at the airport T3. Every other mother there have swelling eyes and tears but mine told me to go in faster there are many things to see in T3 transit. Go go go!!!


When I was in the transit, and for the first time in my life, she send me a sms saying she love me. I didn't reply her that time and I really regretted it so much. Mummy, I wanna tell you I am thankful for all the things you have done for me, even if I gana abducted by aliens & get brainwashed, I will never forget the love and kindness you showered me.


I MISS YOU SO MUCH! Happy mother's day and birthday to you this year, next year and the year after. I really hope this 3 years will pass very quickly, i simply miss hanging out with you.

I need sambal to cook my curry

I was blending onions, dried chilli, garlic and ginger to make sambal. Gw saw me tearing non-stop and passed me his goggles to solve the problem. And he took my ugly photo!

it's Wii day!

We were invited to dinner at Dennis and Catherine's place, and after that it's Wii time until 10pm. Dennis sent us all home after that, and we popped by Lua's apartment (our neighbour) and it's more Wii time at their place.

Part 1 @ Dennis place: Gw and Kester playing against each other.. Some tennis game, which was quite boring because they are expert and u see the ping pong ball going to and fro like a million times before somebody miss it...

Part 2 @ Lua's place: The legendary boxing game i heard from Holly. Gw took over me after i KO-ed Lua during round 1. My arms felt numbed like I've done 100 push-ups, but is really fun lah.

Seems like Wii is the hottie nowadays...

the Malmo bus

today there is a bus coming from Malmo and they say we can buy chinese groceries!!! Groceries which are classified as exotic here. And I found my dried chilli there, now can cook curry liao!

Snapped a picture while shopping in the bus, it's quite cramp here so not convenient to take pictures lah.. See, they put up the racks and also nicely furnished with freezers to keep frozen stuff like fish and prawns etc. I was craving for luncheon meat, but too bad they don't have it.

I saw chye sim and bought it right away. In local supermarket they only have broccoli, broccoli and broccoli. Eat until sian man... They never fix the price tags for the stuff they are selling, so we grab like machiam they are FOC. In the end, we spent $590 kronos in this bus!!! I think the boss anyhow whack the prices.

gw cut my hair

gw cut my fringe because the saloon here is EXPENSIVE. He proudly proclaim this is his most satisfied cut he had ever done for me. My face looked abit like 3 days never pung sai liao.

becoming a bummer

today is the fifth day since gw started, and i think im turning into a bummer! Other than the daily 3 meals intake, im practically surviving on cable tv and internet and occassionaly visits to Kexin's place to watch DVDs.

OK, so the cable tv is screening charlie and the chocolate factory AGAIN.. Most of the channels are in swedish, even cartoon network characters are speaking swedish!! Somebody please send me to learn swedish together with those 5 year old kids in kindergarten school.

Though Jacky told me it's bloody hot nowadays in Singapore, and people strolling along Orchard Rd can catch a fire easily. But still, I miss being in Singapore where you have everything within your reach! I miss going to the kopitiam to order chicken rice, I miss seeing people playing guitar at void decks. I miss taking MRT rides where u can go almost anywhere in Singapore. I miss seeing english words. I miss chilli padi, although neighbour say I can grow my own chilli at my garden but I do not want to die from any form of food poisoning yet.

Last but not least, I MISS PERSPIRING!!! The weather is so cooling, when I do vacuuming, mopping, laundry... I still look very good because i hardly sweat at all. People jogging outside do not have sweaty bodies or wet messy hair. I guess they can go on a date straight after the workout. I got desperate I went to buy a skipping rope.. Yeah, and skip at home with a jacket and all windows closed... I managed to squeeze out some perspiration
