Bake your own pineapple tarts for CNY!

Had fun making pineapple tarts at Shuwen's place :) Ivy was there too! She was the one who shredded the pineapple and accidentally cut her finger, took out the freshly baked tarts from the oven and burnt her right hand. And that makes her our #1 casualty of the day!

Ok, so how do you make pineapple tarts leh?




You will of course need PINEAPPLES aka ONG LAI



Shred the pineapple and cook it until it becomes dry, just like the above picture. This will be the filling for our pineapple tarts.


roll the filling into mini size balls


Shuwen is super strict with proportions.
We have to use the scale and make sure every pineapple filling weighs 5 grams before rolling them into balls.

Round ones are done by shuwen and the longish ones are done by Ivy.


And these are done by me, look like gao sai (dog shit) lor!!
This is super difficult for me, i was super slow and only managed to make 14 pieces.

Nice colour with very strong butter aroma.


We missed out coating egg yolk for one of the gao sai, can you spot it?
