we had a long friday

Our initial friday plan was to have sushi lunch at a legendary sushi restaurant near telenor. Legendary because everyone heard of it but none had actually been there before. We heard enough and were all out to try their sushi since everyone was craving for it. When we reached the place, Shuwen went to check out the sushi restaurant in the building while the rest of us waited in the car. It was ard 12.30 in the afternoon and Shuwen came back minutes after, shaking her head.

"Their sushi sold out liao and now they are serving western set lunch."

How can it be be? It's not even 1pm and it's sold out? Unless the chef only prepare 3 precious roll of sushi everyday.

This sushi restaurant remains a myth.

We had a quick lunch at the nearby cafe and on our way to the indoor playground, didi wouldn't stop crying in the car. I let him sit, he cry. I let him stand he also cry. I can't handle kids i guess.

We took our rabbits for a walk, which was quite insane because it was gettting dark and the temperature went down to 1 degree.

Sherin and her kuro, yes that black fluffy thing on the grass! Kuro was very active, hopping around enjoying freedom unlike Xiaohua stoning at the same spot all the time.

I was too looking forward to Spring. Hence this is me freezing in this thin cardigan.

The day ended with our Friday late night movie and Milo Dinosaur Party at my place! Remember that lousy horror show??? HAHAHHAA!!!

i bought something which i really like

Since last year, i'm trying to get a pair of oversized geek spectacles like ugly betty's. I do not need glasses to see, but i just want to have the geek look once in a while, for fun. I see everyone wearing it on the streets but strange enough, i just couldn't find them anywhere!

I started going online and found a few people actually pop out the lenses of their old sunglasses, and ta-dah they got a pair of geek glasses! So I thought I might just get a pair of a cheapo sunglasses and turn it into geek chic worthy! I can't stop laughing when I imagine myself wearing an empty frame on the streets, I reckon it will be fun!

We checked out stores like H&M, Glitter and Lindex (i think these are all the stores we have here) and compared prices. They have very few selections of sunglasses in black frame. And most of them doesn't suit my round face, some make me looked like a housefly or bumble bee, whatever you call it.

Until I came across this one...

Wah! I really like this leh! It's not the all-black-and-nerdy one I was looking for but it makes me very happy :) so i bought it.

Now the question... Should I pop the lenses out?

A typical saturday stuck at home

With GW's cast on his leg, I foresee it will take quite some time before we can travel out of little karlskrona... Say hello to many more boring weekends stuck at home!

The doctor drew this arrow on his left thigh, just to make sure the surgeon knows which leg to operate the next day. We wondered if this is really necessary because it's very obvious that the left ankle was hurt with all the bandage and stuff. We even joked why the doctor never draw another arrow on his right thigh, pointing towards his left leg or writing "NOT THIS LEG" on his right thigh.

During his first week, he complaint about the itch in the cast which he couldn't scratch. I told him there were ants crawling in the cast trying to find their way out. (ok, not funny) However, we managed to find a stick to ease his itch...

We were at the hospital. Waiting for X-ray and to replace a new cast

Nurse uncasting him with the electric saw. And once the cast splits into 2, the mystery of the itch-in-the-cast unfolds.... We found dead ants (killed by GW's stick) and maybe some just didn't get out in time and suffocated to death.

We found no ants ok, it's just some ingrown leg hair causing the itch and nothing else. :)

I've finished watching 我的億萬麵包 and my sister introduced this 爱就宅一起... New drama starring ah jin and one of my favourite actress rainie yang :) She's so cute!

Watched first episode.. Ah jin as usual... very handsome! Muahahaha!!

Evil plan to spend GW's money part 3

I'm not greedy. I just hope to drop by turkey & greece this year... and if possible cover finland, norway, prague, germany (berlin), italy (rome, florence) next year. I never ask for much right.

小花 needs to go on diet

小花 has grown much fatter now and that makes us wonder if we had overfed her with rabbit treats. She has no problem chomping pellets and hay until we introduced her rabbit treats (we call them "pop pop"), she became a fussypot during her meals. She eats only pop pop, totally ignores the pellets and the hay! She will only touch them when she has no choice, which means.. when she's starving.

it's tough building a snowman

It had snowed a few times last week... But I still couldn't get enough snow in my garden to build one decent snowman. I even tried "stealing" some snow outdoors to add on to the pathetic pile of snow in my garden so i can build my snowman. I did it in the middle of the night, hoping that no one will see me in this crazy act. In a swift movement, I used my toilet red pail to scoop the snow on the ground and I realised I couldn't!!! The snow was like frozen ice stuck on the ground! Somemore I made a loud noise when my pail hit the ice. Super paisey. Mission failed. I ninja-ed back to my apartment because things ain't working the way it should be. What if somebody sees me???

This morning, sherin sms-ed me to build snowman together near the frozen lake. We brought some stuff like carrot and red dates (whatever we can find) for the snowman's nose and eyes. Found a good spot and started playing with the snow, it's like playing with super cold sand lah.

Sherin and the skinny snowman. It's hard to make the head round leh, it falls off whenever we pile snow on it. We really suck at building snowman.

豆妹妹

Before I go on, I need to briefly tell you the story of 豆妹妹. When I first saw her on the rack in one of the shops @ Cineleisure, I thought she was a plushie in the form of a bean... I shouted to GW " See this 豆妹妹! But when I turned her around, I was stunned to see a green shell!

SHE'S A TORTISE!

GW then bought this tortise for me, however due to the big joke earlier we kept her name as 豆妹妹. So this tortise followed us to sweden, and found a place on our bed to lay her tortise shell. It's been almost a year now, it is inevitable for 豆妹妹 to escape from the terrorising bath.

1 last goodbye kiss to 豆妹妹 before I do the Frankenstein Operation on her.

Ta-dah! 豆妹妹 came out from her shell!

Got her face all scrubbed.. and now ready to kiap her ribbon for the drying process.

Stitch her back nicely.... and now the clean tortise is back in bed!

It's been snowing for 2 days

Couldn't get to sleep last night... I tossed and turned like a zillion times, with GW sleeping soundly beside me. I looked out of the window , everywhere is pure and white then this simple poem just struck me hard. Now I truly understand 李白's feelings when he came out with this poem.

reliving the childhood days

Shuwen brought us to this mega size indoor playground today. It's like our fun dazzle back in Singapore, the 20 times bigger version. I love taking pictures of Joel and Didi.. Kids just look good on camera, no matter how. Enjoy!
