HGSS Open House

Went over to kaypo the bro covering NPCC open house duties. He was surprised to see us enter the room.  Also met a couple of familiar faces at the open house.

Was impressed by the fake wound she's gotten from the Red Cross booth. Girl was interested in HGSS CCA: Speech & Drama and Red Cross.

Another dilemma faced when doing the school selection process with her. She scored 16, it was an awkward score because the better neighbour schools has COP 15 and lesser so they were out. I then spent nights digging out schools with COP around her score for her consideration. She was unwilling to travel (30min - 1 hr) and wanted to settle with the nearby HGSS with COP 20.

I was in a state of uncertainty about what to do. 

I dragged the submission until the very last day as I was torn between choosing a school that is around her COP, or to go with her wishes. 

We shall find out on 18 December when the school posting is out.

PSLE Results Day

25.11 2025

Today was a big day for our girl - PSLE results day!

For the first time, she started to get nervous and lots of 'what-ifs' raced through her mind. She felt she didn't perform well for her exams.

Told her no matter the results, we will choose the best secondary school together base on it. 

No point stressing over something that can't be changed.

Let's celebrate your efforts and go to the zoo and have some fun.

Results were to be released at 11am

Her teachers handed her the report book with her result slip kiap inside.

I went over to hug her. She haven't check her results yet, she wanted to leave the hall first as it was chaotic with students jumping for joy and asking each other for their score.

I saw one of her classmates crying, with the result slip in his hand. 

Then another one went, " My mother is going to scold me!"

She flipped the pages of her report book, she gaped dumbfounded at the sight of her result slip, followed by a frown. She has improved 8 AL marks from her Prelims, but it was still not good enough to get into her first choice of school. She felt disappointed but I want to assure her, the results doesn't define her. You have improved so much! Let's just go for our celebration and worry about the school selection later ok. 

We ate at Sushiro, and I called her father to update him on the news.

It was about 6am Germany time when I called him. I told him we were celebrating at Sushiro, he said 'ok, just order anything she wants, it's a celebration!'

Mandai is having this very cute collaboration with Zootopia 2.

Do remember to get your free activity book at the entrance, follow the zootopia trail,  collect 3 stamps and redeem a very cool police badge.

But first, we need to get some identifications.

I love you leah! Another milestone down and i'm so proud of you.

She told me she's gonna start anew at her new school, make lots of friends and work hard to achieve her dream to become a vet to care for her animal friends

Finally, the second half of the movie is here.

We enjoyed it more than the first part, the songs and acting was top notch, and I even got emotional when cynthia sang For Good with ariana.
