Another baby girl turns 1 mth old - YUHAN

Zann's cute little baby girl just celebrated her first month today. The theme was PINK and SPRING! Hehe, not much pictures cuz I was really really very engrossed with the food.

I was home tossing yusheng with everyone!!!

Jeremy told us he had the best chinese meal at Vaxjo last week, and their food is so good that we won't want to go anywhere else to eat after that. So today we all set off in a car and drove 110km to vaxjo to have dinner at SHANGHAI PALACE.

Oh ya, you have to ring to make reservations at least 1 day in advance to ask them to prepare food for a certain no. of pax, rememeber to tell the boss you are a Singaporean and he will know what to do.

Jeremy made the call yesterday and this was the spread he came up with. Don't see the dishes like very simple hor, the food we had just now confirm beat our Lotus and Peking restaurant kao kao. And the $$$ he charged was very reasonable too, unlike at Karlskrona we pay 110sek (ard SGD20) for a plate horfun. Haisss... *shakes head*

There isn't any asian store in Vaxjo and the boss can only buy stuff from the malmo bus every Saturday (just like us!), so if you want him to plan something special for you then do call to inform him 4 days in advance.

A very satisfying meal. Plates all licked clean.

And this is the boss, he's super ulitmate friendly and will keep coming out to check if we need anything and we had a little chat as well. And of course he doesn't walk around with hands up, this was deliberately posed for. Really impressed with his skills and passion for culinery excellence, he even offered to cook our local food like Hainanese chicken rice, Xingzhou Mifen, and Codfish head if we return next time.

How can we not go back to Shanghai Palace again?!?

CNY eve's steamboat reunion dinner

This year's reunion dinner took place at Shuwen's house and we did potluck steamboat so we had alot of liao varieties. Big thanks to everyone for being so generous with the food, i totally enjoyed the dinner and was filled to the brim. We just kept eating non-stop cuz the food just wouldn't stop coming.

After steamboat, we louhei-ed and stuffed ourselves with more salmon, then we attacked Shuwen's own homemade CNY goodies and chitchat until 11pm.
